• Power Semiconductor Subscription

  • Get regular, succinct analysis of emerging power process semiconductor products.

The semiconductor industry is developing new power process technologies using Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) that are smaller and more efficient, with lower losses and higher breakdown voltage.

Silicon (Si) offerings in this space are very mature, but we continue to see noteworthy innovations. This subscription-based service provides you access to our analysis on these cutting-edge products.

Our primary focus in 2019 will be the consumer applications of GaN technology, where GaN has the potential to replace super junction MOSFET devices in low form factor applications.

    TechInsights will also monitor:

    • The SiC market - SiC is competing primarily with IGBT
    • The Si market - Si is mature technology, and new innovations that compete with GaN and SiC will be monitored

We anticipate that our analysis will be split approximately as follows:

    • GaN: 70%
    • SiC: 20%
    • Si: 10%
