Electronic Gases Market to Reach $6.81B in 2026 Driven by Advanced Node Demand
10 Min Read March 24, 2026

TechInsights reports semiconductor electronic gases revenues are forecast to grow 5.5% in 2026 to approximately $6.81B. Growth is expanding beyond the most advanced technologies, though advanced nodes remain the primary driver. Specialty gases are expected to increase by 5.8% and bulk gases by 4.9%.
Concerns are rising around helium supply as the semiconductor industry consumes ~21% of global supply. Disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz could impact Qatar, which represents roughly one-third of global helium production, while reported damage to a Qatar Energy plant may further constrain supply and increase raw material prices.
Despite these risks, demand remains strong, particularly for ultra-high-purity gases used in advanced nodes and EUV lithography. Growth is gradually broadening across the semiconductor ecosystem, supported by on-site bulk gas generation, sustainability initiatives, and regionalized supply chains.
