Analysis: vivo Smartphones Topped India but Lost the Leadership in China in Q1 2025

Vivo shipped 22.6 million smartphones worldwide for a market share of 8% in Q1 2025, growing 6.6% YoY in the quarter. The vendor remained in the global top five smartphone vendors ranking for the quarter, behind Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, and Oppo (including OnePlus). Vivo topped the chart in the Indian smartphone market (for three quarters in a row) this quarter and was among the top 4 in the Chinese smartphone market (behind Huawei, Xiaomi and OPPO (OnePlus)), two of the world's largest smartphone markets.
