AI Chip Outlook 2027: Five Trends Reshaping Memory, Compute and Datacenters

AI will push memory to 62% of semiconductor revenue in 2027 and the total market above $2.6 trillion. HBM and most server DRAM are already committed through 2027, so memory remains the main limit on AI deployment. Inference shifts growth toward custom ASICs, packaging stays the bottleneck, and access to AI compute increasingly depends on who can secure memory, packaging and integrated systems.
