Global smartphone shipments fell 2% YoY in Q1 2026, with Chinese OEMs declining while Apple, Samsung, and Huawei gained share.

Global smartphone shipments turned to the negative growth in Q1 2026, by -2% YoY, after scoring nine consecutive quarter of annual shipment growth. Many Chinese Android OEMs struggled and fell annually while Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo-Motorola and Honor saw annual shipments growth.

Samsung and Apple became the number one smartphone vendors in five and seven countries respectively while Xiaomi became the number one vendor in Russia. vivo topped in India while Huawei rose to number one vendor in China.
