This report is a process review of the Sony IMX007AQ 12.8 mega pixel CMOS imager removed from a Nikon D2X professional series digital SLR camera. This DX format CMOS imager has an effective 12.4 million pixels in a 23.7 mm x 15.7 mm frame size. The IMX007AQ has clearly been developed for maximum performance. This Chipworks Imager Process Report will provide the reader with the insight and competitive intelligence to learn how to improve CMOS image sensor designs for maximum performance in large form factor applications.
