This report is an Imager Process Review of the Samsung S5K3P3SX 16 megapixel (MP) stacked BSI CIS extracted from a Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone. The S5K3P3SX is Samsung's second generation of ISOCELL stacked BSI CIS, and it is the first know design win to use a full ISOCELL isolation (full depth of CIS substrate) front-side deep trench isolation (F-DTI) between pixels, vertical transfer gate (VTG), and 1.0 ?m pixel pitch.
