Dan McGrath has over 40 years of experience in pixel device physics, specializing in CCD and CIS technologies and integrating image-sensor process enhancements. He earned his PhD in physics from Johns Hopkins University and has held roles at Texas Instruments, Polaroid, Atmel, Kodak, Aptina, BAE Systems, and GOODiX, collaborating with facilities worldwide. His work spans applications from space exploration and microscopy to mobile imaging, biometrics, robotics, and defense. Dan’s publications include the first megapixel CCD and foundational work in dark current spectroscopy. He is a Senior Technology Fellow at TechInsights and a visiting researcher at ISAE Supaero.
