Sony IMX775 is a 5 MP RGB‑IR CIS with 2.1 µm pixels, designed for in‑cabin monitoring with high NIR sensitivity and wide dynamic range.

The Sony IMX775 is a compact RGB-IR CMOS image sensor (CIS), designed primarily for automotive in-cabin driver and occupant monitoring systems (DMS/OMS) and is the smallest pixel configuration RGB-IR CIS analyzed by TechInsights, reported till date. The IMX775 sensor leverages a 2.1 µm pixel architecture and is designed for high quantum efficiency at 940 nm near-infrared (NIR) wavelength, enabling reliable detection of driver eye gaze, blinking, and passenger status in darkness as well as challenging lighting conditions . For visible imaging, its hybrid exposure approach combines rolling shutter operation with on-chip processing to preserve detail across extreme cabin contrast scenes with an industry-leading 110 dB dynamic range.
The Sony IMX775 is a 5.0 mega-pixel (MP), 1/2.64" optical format, 2.1 µm pixel pitch, stacked back-illuminated (BI) CIS.
