Analysis: Q4 2024: Huawei’s Smartphone ASP Declined After Four Strong Quarters
Huawei's Q4 2024 smartphone shipments reached 13.8M, but YoY growth slowed and ASP dropped due to delays and increased competition in the Chinese market.
Huawei’s global smartphone shipment kept increasing for seven quarters, reaching 13.8 million in Q4 2024. However, its year-over-year (YoY) growth slowed down to 10%. Meanwhile, Huawei’s smartphone wholesale ASP dropped significantly due to the delayed launch of Mate 70 series as well as the intensified competition in the high end in China market. A falling revenue indicated that Huawei’s resilience journey might hit a pause.
