Würth Solar is a leading manufacturer of CIGS (copper/indium/gallium/diselenide) solar modules, and also a provider of complete solar installations. They claim to be the first company in the solar industry to implement large-scale production of CIGS modules at CISfab in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, which was opened in the autumn of 2006. In July 2008, they expanded to a total of 30 MW production capacity; corresponding to an annual output of 350,000 of their GeneCIS solar modules.
