This report is an imager process review (IPR) of the STMicroelectronics 5 Mp CIS with 5953BA die markings. STMicroelectronics unveiled its 5 Mp CMOS image sensor roadmap in October 2009. Using the standard 1/4-inch optical format, and designed with 1.4 µm pixels, the family of sensors have targeted applications in camera phones. The sensors use STMicroelectronics unique pixel isolation technique, which maximizes the sensor's Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) to deliver best-in-class image quality.
