This report presents an SRAM Cell Analysis of the Broadcom BCM56850 Ethernet switch IC, also known as the StrataXGS Trident II. The BCM56850 device is the latest addition to Broadcom's StrataXGS family of Ethernet switches, targeting mega data centers and cloud-scale networking. This device is the industry's first switch with over one hundred 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports (128 x 10 GbE ports), and can also support up to thirty-two 40 GbE ports. A combination of 10 GbE and 40 GbE ports can also be configured.
