This report presents a Partial Circuit Analysis of the image signal processor (ISP die) in the Sony IMX214 second generation 13 MP Exmor RS™ stacked back illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor (CIS) with spatially multiplexed exposure-high dynamic range (SME-HDR) imaging function to improve picture quality. Compared to the IMX135, a first generation Exmor RS series CIS, the IMX214 can shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second (fps), 1080p video at 60 fps, or 13 MP HDR images at a maximum of 30 fps.
