5 Expectations for the Power Market in 2026
Wide-bandgap disruption, PMIC innovation, and datacenter power demand, what’s next for power semiconductors.
The rise of AI datacenters is driving unprecedented demand for power, creating both massive opportunities and major challenges for the power semiconductor industry. As computing power doubles nearly every six months, new technologies and global competition are reshaping the market faster than ever.
By 2026, datacenter power conversion markets are projected to reach nearly $4 billion, while silicon carbide (SiC) oversupply and intensifying Chinese competition will redefine strategies for global players. At the same time, the GaN industry faces transformation with TSMC’s exit, opening the door for new foundry opportunities, while China accelerates its self-sufficiency goals for wide-bandgap technologies by 2027.
What You’ll Learn:
In this webinar, TechInsights experts break down five key developments that will define who leads, and who falls behind in the next two years.
Datacenter power conversion – $4B market growth by 2026 as AI accelerates.
SiC oversupply & Chinese competition – How strategies must adapt.
The GaN transition – TSMC exits, new foundry opportunities emerge.
China’s wide-bandgap drive – Strategic self-sufficiency by 2027.
PMIC evolution – Higher integration, intelligence, and co-design.
Whether you’re a strategist, designer, foundry manager, or executive, this session will give you the insights needed to anticipate change, align your roadmap, and stay competitive.
