Apple has changed the economics of upgrading storage across its premium iPhone 18 lineup.
Instead of relatively flat storage upgrade pricing, the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone 18 Duo now follow the same escalating formula: $200 more for 512GB, another $400 for 1TB, and another $600 for 2TB.

The consistency is important. Apple is applying the exact same $200/$400/$600 storage ladder to three products with very different starting prices and bills of materials.
That suggests the new structure is more than a direct response to NAND costs. It looks like a deliberate pricing and margin strategy.
