A huge number of second-tier MICROVENDORS are playing a meaningful role in the global wearables space, flooding the market with new, niche, and segmented offerings. Global wearables shipments grew by an impressive 14% in Q4 2025, after growth in the prior four quarters was preceded by eight consecutive quarters (two years) of declines driven by market saturation, macroeconomic weakness, and limited innovation. During Q4 2025, nearly all wearable device types experienced growth (except VR and fitness bands), with particularly strong growth in smart glasses, smart rings, and watches. Total wearables, for this report, include smartwatches, fitness bands, smartglasses, feature watches, jewellery/apparel/shoes, and others.
