In the latest edition of the EV/HEV Technologies Supply and Fitment Database, in the TechInsights Market Data: Electric Vehicles online data report, auto groups Ford, General Motors, Honda, and Stellantis announced the write-down of their electric vehicle investments in North America. This is reflected in future EV models that have been cancelled and replaced by hybrid ones instead. Meanwhile, innovations in EVs continue elsewhere, with nascent deployments of sodium-ion and solid-state batteries, network voltage beyond 800V, and increasing use of silicon carbide power electronics.
