Lenovo-Motorola Smartphone Business Ended Eight Quarters of Growth in Q3 2025, Still Profitable For 20 Consecutive Quarters

Lenovo-Motorola shipped 15.2 million smartphones globally, for a market share of 5%, in Q3 2025. After eight consecutive quarters of growth, it declined 1% YoY. It ranked eighth in the global smartphone market. It witnessed a decline in four of the six key regions we track. The company experienced a significant increase of 15% YoY shipments in the Indian smartphone market for the quarter. As a result, Motorola's shipments in the Asia Pacific have been ahead of North America for the past four quarters. Estimated smartphone wholesale revenues declined 7% YoY, driven by an ASP decline of 5% YoY for the quarter, given an increased mix of low-priced G series.
