Handset Vendor Market Share for 60 Countries Q2 2025

Global handset shipments reached 346.1 million in Q2 2025, led by Samsung, Apple, and Transsion, with notable declines in smaller markets.

Global handset shipments marginally grew to 346.1 million units in Q2 2025. Samsung, Apple and Transsion were the top three vendors with market shares of 16.7%, 14.9% and 13.1% respectively. The top 60 country markets accounted for 84.6% of the global handset volumes in the quarter. Combined volumes to these markets declined by -1.9%. Here, the top three rankings from the consolidated volumes were taken up by Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi with 16.6%, 16.4% and 11.8% respectively. Combined volumes to the smaller 45 markets, however, declined by -3% YoY in Q2 2025. Amongst these Indonesia, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia were the top three markets by volumes in the quarter. Local vendors accounted for just over 3% of the combined handset volumes to these 60 markets.
