MediaTek Puts All Big Cores in Dimensity 8400

MediaTek's Dimensity 8400 is the first smartphone SoC in the premium (second tier) range to employ the "all-big-core" design, a signature characteristic of the flagship (top tier) Dimensity 9000 series. This architecture design was first featured in the Dimensity 9300 when MediaTek first dropped the Cortex A5xx efficiency cores. Similarly, the Dimensity 8400 is equipped with eight Arm Cortex-A725 CPU cores operating at speeds up to 3.25 GHz and is organized in a standard 1 + 3 + 4 core configuration. This is the first mobile SoC to incorporate Arm's new Cortex-A725 CPU core.
