With the New MacBook M2 A2941, Apple continues its design tradition of using an aluminum enclosure fitted to all internal components. Six battery cells are used to take advantage of available free space. All connectors are secured by a metal bracket screwed to the enclosure. The system of spacers with elastic heads supports the main board. Protection resin covers the electronic parts on the keyboard and touchpad board. There are no internal expansion sockets or slots. RAM, ROM, and WiFi components are soldered directly onto the PCB. A flat cable, which connects the display with the main board, is protected by a mechanism called the Apple tensioner. A vapor chamber heat sink and thermal paste cool the application processor. The MacBook Air A2941 includes an M2 CPU. The APL1109 has an 8-core CPU with four performance cores, four efficiency cores, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine.
