The design wins for the Amazon Echo Show 8 3rd Gen is divided between different manufacturers. The application processor comes from Amlogic while WiFi Front-end comes from Mediatek. As for the memory, SK Hynix provided 2 GB LPDDR4 SDRAM and Samsung provided 8 GB MLC NAND flash.

The Amazon Alexa Echo Show 8 3rd Gen R85SD6 is an Alexa controlled device with a display/touchscreen, camera and two speakers. Compared to its predecessor, the Amazon Echo Show 8 C7H6N3 (2nd Gen), the Echo Show 8 3rd Gen has 2 GB LPDDR4 SDRAM (in 2nd Gen 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM), and the P0P1-R octa-core application processor from Amlogic. As well as in 2nd Gen the Echo Show 8 3rd Gen has four microphones, and an 8-inch display. The Echo Show 8 3rd Gen is equipped with 13 MP BSI CMOS Image Sensor.

Like the Echo Show 8 2nd Gen it doesn’t have a built-in battery, which means that the device must be constantly connected to a power source. The Amazon Echo Show 8 3rd Gen R85SD6 has a total cost of 138.79 and is $37.1 more expensive than an average smart home cost.
