MediaTek Refines the AIoT Stack with Genio 360 and 420
2 Min Read June 12, 2026
MediaTek Genio 360 and 420 target mid‑tier IoT with on‑device AI, enabling hybrid processing and localized inference for smart devices.

MediaTek’s newly launched Genio 360 and Genio 420 devices target the cost-sensitive middle tier of the IoT SoC market, where on-device AI inference is increasingly offloading workloads from the cloud to support localized speech recognition. This shift is exemplified by the current generation of smart home hubs and interactive displays, which, much like premium smart speakers, are shifting towards hybrid architectures that leverage on-device AI for immediate responsiveness, offloading more complex reasoning to the cloud.
While MediaTek has not disclosed pricing for either product, both carry a 10-year supply longevity commitment, support commercial and industrial temperature ranges, and run Android, Yocto Linux, and Ubuntu. The Genio 360 series is already in volume production, while the Genio 420 is slated to reach volume production in Q3 2026 following its initial sampling phase in April.
