This is the unboxing of the new Huawei Pura X Max wide-foldable smartphone. It was announced on April 20, 2026, for the Chinese market. Unlike traditional foldables, the Pura X Max uses a wider inner LTPO OLED display, while the outer display is smaller at 5.4 inches when folded closed. The wider format gives the new Huawei Pura X max a small-tablet style layout optimized for multitasking and media consumption. The device features Huawei’s Kirin 9030 Pro processor and a triple-camera system with a variable-aperture 50MP main camera and a periscope telephoto lens. Huawei also introduced its “Basalt Waterdrop Hinge” design, which helps reduce stress on the flexible OLED display stack and minimize visible crease formation.
