The Sony IMX810AQL CMOS image sensor (CIS) was extracted from the Sony Alpha 9 III mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (MILC). It is a 24.6 MP full frame (FF) stacked back-illuminated (BI) voltage domain global shutter (GS) CIS with a pixel pitch of 5.9 μm. The IMX810AQL is the first full frame image sensor with global shutter capability, capable of shooting at 120 frames per second (fps) and is suitable for capturing images of fast-moving subjects such as in sports and wildlife, as well as professional photography.
