Phill Maling

As a Research Director and Product Owner of the SpecTRAX and PriceTRAX databases, Phill Maling relies on over 12 years of industry experience as he leads the transition from online databases to cutting edge analytics toolkits for mobile devices. Phill is responsible for overseeing the model profiling and automated price collection through to publication and visualization for the mobile device specification and pricing dashboards. He is an articulate analyst with a passion for breaking down data silos to create master datasets for top level overviews down to ultra-granular outputs. He works with smartphone manufacturers, network operators, and government agencies, applying his data skills to help clients get the best use from TRAX. He enjoys having the opportunity to transform overwhelming smartphone datasets into tactical and strategic insights.

Prior to joining TechInsights, Phill conducted primary and secondary research in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries where he led multiple innovative research programs and dashboard development initiatives. He has an inherent ability to utilize statistical techniques for optimizing studies, quantifying qualitative data, and interpreting results.
