Compared to the Redmi 12C, the Redmi 13C comes with a new design. It has a boxy design with a slightly broad form factor to offer a bigger canvas to people for viewing content. There is no prominent camera module at the back and the sensors are directly incorporated, making the rear panel look neat. The Redmi 12C featured almost the same screen. It offers a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a standard 60 Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio and 500 nits of peak brightness. With the new version, Redmi has made some cosmetic changes in terms of refresh rate, brightness support and others.

The Redmi 13C features a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and 600 nits of peak brightness. The panel operates at HD+ resolution. It sports a teardrop notch on the front and a Gorilla Glass coating on the screen. Redmi 13C is powered by a MediatekMT6769Z Helio G85 processor. For photography, the new model has two cameras at the back. The setup features a 50-megapixel primary camera which can capture detailed and colorful shots in daylight. Additionally, there is also a secondary camera for depth sensing. On the front, selfies are managed by an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The front camera boasts of an f/2.0 aperture, promising to take decent portraits for users. The Redmi 12C, on the other hand, had a similar camera setup at the back and front as well. So, there are no major changes in this area.
