Economic uncertainty and weakness in smartphone sales led Oppo to close its Zeku radio chipset development venture. Start-up funding and M&A activity also slowed during the quarter. New semiconductor products included the first 5G NR Internet of Things (IoT) chipset, new 3GPP-compliant non-terrestrial network (NTN) chips for user equipment, and an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip from a vertically integrated smartphone maker. Adoption of the HaLow version of Wi-Fi picked up speed.
