Apple's captive silicon, led by A-series and M-series application processors (AP), saw shipment volume increase 18 percent year-on-year in Q4 2025, rounding out calendar 2025 with net annual growth of 23 percent. Meanwhile, Apple's captive silicon expenditures (revenues) remained flat in 2025 delcining slightly at 2 percent. Apple's A-series APs are used in iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and HomePod while the M-series APs are used in iPad, MacBook, Macs and the Vision Pro devices. The latest Apple 5G modems (C1 and C1X), introduced with the latest iPhone 16e and iPhone Air smartphone designs, are included alongside the N1 connectivity chips in all 2025 iPhone models. Apple Watch SiPs containing Apple-designed S-series chips are also counted. Only Apple's H-series used in AirPods are unaccounted for in this market model.
