Latest Autonomous Vehicle Trials Database adds 79 new tests, with Tesla, Waymo, and WeRide accounting for a majority of these entries.

In the latest edition of the Autonomous Vehicle Trials Database published in the TechInsights automotive electronics online data report, 79 new autonomous driving tests and services were announced—an even larger increase than in the previous edition. A small number of providers, notably Waymo and WeRide, account for a majority of the newly announced entries. This report examines whether Tesla is pivoting its strategy toward robotics and robotaxis, and explores the possibility that autonomous mobility services may consolidate around a smaller number of dominant players.
