In an analysis of commodity component supply in the computing industry, semiconductor lead times are stable at 14 weeks for the last four quarters, including Q3 2024. TechInsights indexed over twenty companies supplying into the computing industry from our Component Price Landscape research and found that memory component lead times fell 21% quarter-over-quarter, representing a three-week improvement. Memory components have generally had longer lead times than the computing industry average since Q3 2022, but at an average 12 weeks lead time in Q3 2024, they are now fully two weeks faster than the average.
