Global Smartphone Shipments Forecast by Vendor by Region by Quarter

TechInsights has slightly upwards adjusted global smartphone forecast numbers in 2023 and 2024 to factor the better-than-expected Q3 2023 performance, the normalized inventory status, as well as the improved macroeconomic outlook. Global smartphone shipment is expected to fall -5% YoY in 2023, followed by a rebound of +3% YoY in 2024. Handset worldwide shipment will decline -8% YoY in 2023 and rebound at +3% YoY in 2024. Samsung and Apple will continue leading the market, but both would lose market share in 2024. In contrast, we expect Huawei's comeback on 5G will boost its solid resilience journey in the following quarters.
