Supported technologies are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee, Z-Wave-923 MHz, Z-Wave-914 MHz, Z-Wave-868 MHz, ISM/SRD-433 MHz, and Thread. The design is based on a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, shipping with a Quad-Core Cortex-A72 processor, 2 GB Mobile LPDDR4X SDRAM and 32 GB MLC NAND Flash memory. The entire system can be monitored and controlled from a phone through the Homey app on Android and iOS. In comparison to the Samsung SmartThings Hub 3rd Gen, there is more SDRAM memory 2 GB Mobile LPDDR4X instead of 256 MB DDR3 assembled in Samsung model. Also, there is 32 GB MLC NAND Flash against 4 GB MLC NAND Flash in Samsung SmartThings Hub 3rd Gen. The Athom B.V Homey Pro HY0025 additionally supports ISM/SRD-433 MHz band. For each band of Z-Wave-923 MHz, Z-Wave-914 MHz, Z-Wave-868 has separate antennas (Samsung SmartThings Hub 3rd Gen has one common antenna for all Z-Wave connectivity). Homey supports infrared devices also, it emits IR signal in 360 degrees, for devices like set-top boxes, socket switches and air conditioning systems.
