Global smartwatch shipments declined for the second consecutive quarter during Q1 2023, after Q4 2022 marked the first YoY decline since 2016 as consumers reigned in discretionary spending causing a lengthening replacement cycle amid macroeconomic weakness. We project a turnaround to growth for H2 and for full year 2023 as macro conditions improve and new models flood the market. During Q1 all major vendors saw YoY shipment declines, and Google an Honor were added to the tracker. Top regions in Q3 included Asia Pacific, North America, and Western Europe.
