Introduced on February 1, 2024, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra brings several enhancements over its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Samsung S24 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the S23 Ultra. The S24 Ultra introduces a flat display, moving away from the curved edges of the S23 Ultra. It also uses a more durable Gorilla Glass Armor for protection. The S24 Ultra has a 200MP main camera and a 50MP 5x telephoto lens, which is a significant upgrade from the 10MP 3x and 10x telephoto lenses of the S23 Ultra. The device also features a UWB antenna that is soldered directly onto the PCB, along with a new NXP Semiconductors SR200D UWB chipset. Interestingly, most of the filtration in the RF path is done inside the IC components, resulting in very few filters. Filters are used mostly for signal splitting. The device’s build is robust, with a titanium material body and Gorilla Glass Armor, which is known for its toughness.
