The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 applications processor found in the Samsung Galaxy S8 is confirmed to be built on Samsung’s 10 nm LPE process. Debut devices for the 10 nm LPE are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and the Samsung Exynos 9 application processors.

We have started our analysis on the Samsung 10 nm LPE process. We are looking at the floor plans for the Snapdragon 835 and the Exynos 9. These floor plans will be available in our Digital Functional Analysis Reports (DFAR). The 10 nm process will be covered in our Advanced CMOS Essentials (ACE) report. Following that, we look at the standard libraries to understand routing efficiency, standard cell layout and design in our Standard Cell Essentials report (SCE). From here we will be move on to the entire process flow from end to end. Transistor characterization will also be performed in our TCR reports.
