China - Big Tech Companies' Key Cockpit and Connected Service Competencies

Since 2015, major Chinese internet companies have entered the connected vehicle business and provided comprehensive solutions for map, navigation, online content integration, speech recognition, and even integrated solution for connected services and infotainment systems. By 2019, vehicle intelligence had entered a stage of rapid development, and more technology companies such as ByteDance and Huawei, and had expanded their business into research and development of intelligent vehicle technologies. This report looks at five large technology companies in China and analyzes their core products and capabilities, while identifying the key trends in cockpit, connected vehicles, and vehicle intelligence.
