Can charging the iPhone 15 using Android USB-C cables cause overheating issues?

 
 

In response to the European Union's directive on standardizing charging ports for electronic devices, Apple made a significant shift in its charging technology, adopting USB-C ports for its iPhone 15 series. However, concerns arose regarding the compatibility of these devices with non-Apple USB-C cables, with reports suggesting overheating issues. TechInsights conducted an in-depth analysis to shed light on these concerns.

Our study compared the charging profiles of the iPhone 15 Pro using both Apple's USB-C cable and a certified Android USB-C cable from Samsung. The results were compelling. Despite using different cables and chargers, the charging behavior and temperature profiles of the iPhone 15 Pro remained consistent across all tests.
