Global smartphone sales are declining in 2023. Growth going forward is slow as geopolitical and economic turbulence keeps growth moderate. Asia Pacific will remain by far the world's largest region for smartphone sales. 5G was the biggest technology segment in 2022. 4G is still relevant in some emerging markets, especially in Africa region. 3G is only used in some emerging markets.
